PURPOSE: To prevent the body of a vegetable cutter from vibration and to prevent the lid thereof from being broken, by locating the outer peripheral side end face part of an opening in a rotary plate at a position which is nearer to the rotational center than the outer peripheral side end face part of a discharge port in a cutter attaching plate.
CONSTITUTION: When a motor rotates a rotary plate 22 and a cutter attaching plate 27, a food is sliced and is then dropped through a discharge port 27b and an opening 22a and into the lower part of a container. If the food is cabbage or the like, small pieces of the cabbages which are cut by a rotating slice cutter 22a are scattered toward the outer periphery of rotation under centrifugal force just after it is cut, and are then struck upon the outer peripheral side end face part 22-A of the opening 22a. In this arrangement, if the outer peripheral end face part 22a is formed with an inclined surface, the sliced pieces slide down this inclined surface and discharged downward. Since the outer peripheral side end face part 22a-A of the opening 22a is located near to the rotational center A than the outer peripheral side end face part 27b-A of a discharge port 27-b, no peaks are formed, and accordingly, cut pieces, cut chips or the like are not accumulated.
