Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle accelerator pedal device allowing a driver to achieve desired speed reduction through the operation of an accelerator pedal alone.
SOLUTION: A detector 3 for detecting the stroke of the accelerator pedal 1 is connected with the controller 10. The controller 10 outputs control signals IE and IB respectively to a throttle driving actuator 11 and a brake driving actuator 12 so that when the pedal stroke T is not greater than a predetermined value T1, throttle opening E becomes zero, and so that the amount of braking B decreases gradually as the pedal stroke T increases.
