Abstract:
To provide a vehicle air conditioner and a vehicle air conditioning method by which amenity in a passenger room is hardly degraded even if passengers are replaced.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 100 conditions air of a partitioned passenger room of a railway vehicle. An entrance person number estimation part 410 estimates a number of persons who enter the passenger room from outside of a vehicle by means of detecting passing of the persons at a preliminarily decided place. Based on a result of an estimation done by the estimation part 410, a controller 430 identifies a number of new boarding persons which are a number of persons newly entering the passenger room at a station when the vehicle arrives the station and controls an air conditioning power of the air conditioner 100 for the passenger room in response to the number of new boarding persons.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
