Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow a driver to feel warm equally at the right and left sides of the upper half of his body even if the sun is at a crosswise position to the direction in which the vehicle travels.
CONSTITUTION: A solar radiation sensor detects the position of the sun. When the solar radiation sensor detects approaching of the sun position to the directly right side of the travel direction of a vehicle, a first control means outputs a control signal to a servo motor so that a cold air side door 16 is wide open in order to lower the temperature of air blown from a side blowout opening 14 and also the quantity of cold air taken into a bent side duct 29 is increased. Otherwise, a second control means outputs a control signal to a servo motor so that an air quantity control side door 18 is wide open in order to increase the quantity of air blown from a side blowout opening 14.
