Abstract:
To improve aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle through reliable reduction in travel resistance generated due to interference of a travel air flow.SOLUTION: A vehicle air flow control device has: a fin 28 which generates a vertical vortex 38 having an axis A extended in a flow direction of a travel air flow F at a location on an inner wall face 2608 of a duct in the vicinity of a travel wind blow out port 2604; and an angle of attack control section which controls an angle of attack α of the fin 28 with respect to the travel air flow F. By adjusting the angle of attack α of the fin 28, the vehicle air flow control device can control whether or not to cause the fin 28 to generate the vertical vortex 38, a degree of straightness of a third air flow F3 due to the vertical vortex 38, and deflection of the third air flow F3 and thereby enabling travel resistance to be reliably suppressed with the third air flow F3. Thus, the vehicle air flow control device can enhance superiority thereof in terms of improving aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
