Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle getting-on-and-off assisting device which can be inexpensively and compactly attached.SOLUTION: The device includes: an elongate frame 3 arranged in the ceiling of the vehicle 1; a gas damper 6 whose one end is fixed to the frame 3 and in which the front end of an extending rod 7 is arranged movably along the frame 3; a belt 8 to which the other end of the gas damper 6 is fixed and which receives tension by the extension of the gas damper 6; and a hanger arranged at the other end of the belt 8. The tension is generated in the belt 8 by the extension of the gas damper 6, an assistant can make a crew get on and off with little force by lifting the crew by the tension. The device can be compactly attached compared to a conventional powered system because the gas damper 6 extends and contracts along the ceiling 2. Further, the device can be inexpensive because the source of power and the wiring for the same are not required by using the gas damper 6.
