Title:
VEHICLE BODY INTEGRATED TYPE TV CAMERA AND ITS MOUNTING VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007050868
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve safety problems that a driver needs to move his/her eyes at an angle of approximately 90° in one side when looking at a door mirror during driving, has to look at it through a door window, and therefore, does not look ahead carefully, and that door mirrors may contact with obstacles and persons on a narrow road and at a parking lot and a garage etc. since they are largely protruded from the vehicle body.

Door mirrors are removed and a TV camera system is used instead to achieve purposes and functions of the door mirrors. Thus, various functions are mounted, safety problems of the door mirrors can be solved, and design performance can be enhanced. Since positioning is performed in accordance with the design and functions and taken images are displayed on screens of a multiscreen television at a driver seat, a driver can confirm rearward safety by moving his/her eyes at approximately the same angle as that when he/she looks at instruments. In addition, since the number of screens and cameras can be determined as necessary, the overall periphery of the vehicle body including inside of the vehicle can be confirmed. Since a camera part is integral with the vehicle body, design performance is not deteriorated. In addition, the camera part is not an obstacle, the safety level is enhanced.
