To provide a vehicle body structure that can prevent the occurrence of violent crash between a battery provided on the forward side of a power plant and the power plant even when an electric vehicle is subjected to a rear impact.

The electric vehicle 10 includes: a rear bracket 50 for mounting the power plant 31 to a vehicle body 11; the battery 20 provided on the forward side of the power plant 31; and a projection 60 provided rearward relative to the power plant 31 in the vehicle body 11 and projected on a side of the rear bracket 50.
