Abstract:
To reduce damage to vehicle body components due to a collision with an obstacle when running on a rough road, thereby improving performance for running on the rough road; to reduce aerodynamic drag forces of a vehicle body while a vehicle is running, thereby improving running performance; to achieve vehicle body design unitary as the whole vehicle body; and to reduce vibration of the vehicle body, thereby providing comfortableness.SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure comprises: an upper body 2 disposed at an upper portion of a vehicle; and an under body 3 disposed at a lower portion of the vehicle. The upper body 2 and the under body 3 are held by a vehicle body frame 4. A predetermined interval is provided at a boundary portion B between the upper body 2 and the under body 3, and a resilient cushioning portion 11 is provided in the boundary portion B. The under body 3, which is located at the lower side of the vehicle below the upper body 2, includes the vehicle body frame 4 inside a cross section, and is integrally formed in the area where the under body is overlapped with the upper body 2 in a vertical view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
