Abstract:
To provide a vehicle body substructure capable of inhibiting a floor tunnel from deforming to open, and inhibiting interference with an exhaust system component.SOLUTION: A vehicle body substructure includes a tunnel brace 22 laid across a floor tunnel 18. The tunnel brace 22 has a front convex part 71, a central groove 72, and a rear convex part 73. The front convex part 71, the central groove 72, and the rear convex part 73 are formed to have an equal width proportion. The front convex part 71, central groove 72, and rear convex part 73 constitute the tunnel brace 22 having an M-shaped section. The tunnel brace 22 is formed so that the width dimension in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle body has a maximum value at the right and left ends 22a and 22b, and a minimum value at the center 22c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
