Abstract:
To provide a brake control device having a brake-by-wire constitution in which a fail-safe property is improved and suitable operation characteristic of a brake operation member can be achieved.SOLUTION: A brake control device, which adjusts a brake fluid pressure of a brake fluid in a wheel cylinder provided on a wheel, comprises: a pressure regulating unit which increases a pressure of a brake fluid supplied from a reservoir as a regulation fluid pressure; a master cylinder which performs pressure-feeding of the brake fluid supplied from the reservoir; and "a separation unit which is configured from a separation cylinder and a separation piston and has: a compression chamber connected to a wheel cylinder; and a separation chamber which is positioned on a side opposite to the compression chamber with respect to the separation piston, and is connected to the pressure regulating unit". The separation unit is so configured as to block fluid connection between the compression chamber and the master cylinder when the pressure regulating unit increases the regulation fluid pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
