The brake control device comprises: a fluid pressure generation device 2 for sliding master pistons 21 and 22 against a master cylinder 20 in association with operation for a brake operation member 1 so as to generate in a master chamber 2A fluid pressure according to the operation for the brake operation member 1; a fluid pressure brake device having a pump (54) and a second valve device 81 for controlling flow of brake fluid between an assist chamber 3A and a reservoir 82; a regenerative braking device 9 for generating regenerative braking force; and an open/close control section 6(61) that controls the second valve device 81 to be kept opening, on the basis of information about the operation of the brake operation member 1, information about fluid pressure in a wheel cylinder 4 or information in the master chamber 2A, and information about the regenerative braking force, in switching processing of increasing the regenerative braking force and decreasing fluid pressure braking force generated by fluid pressure in the wheel cylinder 4.
