Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera system that can perform proper white balance correction processing matched with a condition on a long-term exposure image and a short-term exposure time which are picked up under variously varying illumination atmosphere.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle camera system 100 has an on-vehicle camera 10 for performing long-time exposure imaging having relatively long exposure time and short-time exposure imaging having a relative short exposure time, a signal processor 20 (signal processing device) for performing white balance signal processing on each of a long-time exposure image and a short-time exposure image and combining both the images to generate a high dynamic range image, and a system controller 40 (processing switching device) for achieving an illumination environment vehicle under which a vehicle is placed, and switching the white balance correction process for the long-time exposure image and the white balance correction processing for the short-time exposure image according to the illumination environment according to the illumination environment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
