To provide a vehicle-collision testing apparatus for executing test collision runs in a limited space, without requiring much space, as in conventional tests that uses traction by a wire.

The vehicle-collision testing apparatus comprises a hydraulic source apparatus, and an actuator having a piston rod driven by hydraulic oil from the hydraulic source apparatus, and then allows a test vehicle, arranged in contact with the front end of the piston rod to collide with an object that the vehicle collides with and is arranged in the front, while being pushed out by the ejection of the piston rod. The piston rod of an actuator driven hydraulically is driven speedily and is rapidly accelerated so that it reaches a prescribed target vehicle speed, the prescribed identical vehicle speed is also given to the test vehicle, arranged in contact with the front end of the piston rod, and the test vehicle is allowed to collide with the object that the test vehicle collides with, thus obtaining the collision phenomenon that is to be verified.
