Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate inhibitors against travelling test vehicles for improvement on collision test accuracy by releasing a claw-provided wire connecting member by a release mechanism for the disengagement of the member from the traction gear upon arrival of the gear at a location this side of the barrier by a prescribed distance for assuring the non-existence of protrusions up from the road surface during and after the collision with a barrier.
SOLUTION: A traction gear 13 is provided with a wire connecting member 34 for connecting a traction wire 24 connected to a test vehicle 1, the member 34 is provided with an engagement section 34c and with a claw 33 for removably keeping the section 34c to the gear 13, and the gear 13 and a brake 16 are each provided with a release mechanism 119 for releasing the claw 33 from holding the member 34.
