Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle communication device and a communication method, which can simply register a mobile terminal for data communication without the need for complicated operations.
SOLUTION: First, in the case that a reply signal sent from a mobile terminal 12 is received after transmission of a reply request signal, an identification code included in the reply signal is tentatively registered. Under such a circumstance, when the number of reception times of the reply signal including the identification code reaches a prescribed number of times, the identification code is formally registered so that short-range wireless communication between the mobile terminal 12 and an image processing apparatus 14 mounted on a vehicle can be permitted.
