To provide a vehicle control device, a vehicle control method and a program which enable driving support without disturbing driving.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device has a processor, wherein the processor acquires positional information on a preceding vehicle traveling ahead of an own vehicle, and controls a reaction force addition mechanism of adding a reaction force to an accelerator pedal on the basis of an inter-vehicle distance in a vehicle width direction between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
