To provide a vehicle control device capable of controlling an on- vehicle control system (e.g. an air conditioner, a wiper) without a driver's removing his or her hand from a steering wheel.

This device comprises a voice input means adapted to input a control command by a driver's voice, a voice recognizing means adapted to recognize a voice signal input by the voice input means, a displaying means adapted to display the control command recognized by the voice recognizing means at a position for the driver to be able to recognize visually, a control approval judging means adapted to approve output of the control command by the driver's approving operation when the driver confirms the content displayed by the displaying means to see that it corresponds with a control command intended by the driver and the on-vehicle control system adapted to control on the basis of the control command at the time of judging approval by the control approval judging means.
