Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery without excess or deficiency both at start of execution of vehicle stop idling stop control and at start of deceleration idling stop control in a vehicle control device.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device starts execution of idling stop control when either of a first start condition including vehicle stop or a second start condition including predetermined vehicle deceleration is satisfied, and then completes the execution when a predetermined completion condition is satisfied. During vehicle traveling, the vehicle control device calculates a target charge state required for a battery to compensate the amount of electric power predicted to be used during an execution period of the idling stop control, and controls power generation amount of a power generator so that the charge state of the battery is controlled to the target charge state. The vehicle control device predicts which condition out of the first start condition and the second start condition will be satisfied, and makes a correction so that the target charge state when the predicted satisfaction condition is the second start condition is made larger compared to when the condition is the first start condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
