Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat fuel containing alcohol while preventing an auxiliary battery from being run out of.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device (100) is mounted in a hybrid vehicle (1) which comprises an internal combustion engine (21) outputting power by combusting the fuel containing alcohol, electric motors (MG1, MG2) for driving and a first battery (11) supplying electric power to the electric motors. The vehicle control device comprises a fuel heating circuit which includes a heating member (15) capable of heating the fuel containing alcohol by being electrified, a second battery (14) capable of supplying electric power to the heating member, changeover means (12) capable of switching electrification/shutdown between the first battery and the second battery and a DC/DC converter (13) disposed between the second battery and the changeover means, and control means (30) which controls the changeover means so as to electrify between the first battery and the second battery when heating the fuel containing alcohol.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
