Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device allowing a driver to secure operability which is sufficient in terms of a feeling, particularly in gentle acceleration/deceleration operation of an accelerator pedal, regardless of a type of muscle to be mainly used in the operation.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a reference control map F which has a forward characteristic F1 and a backward characteristic F2, and in which a correlation between an amount s of depression of an accelerator pedal 3 and a reaction force value f thereof is set; a reaction force setting section 24 which sets the reaction force value f of the accelerator pedal 3 on the basis of the reference control map F; and a depression speed sensor 5 which detects an amount of movement of a driver's foot on the accelerator pedal 3. The reaction force setting section 24 causes correction to reduce the backward characteristic F2 of the reference control map F in association with the amount of movement detected by the depression speed sensor 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
