Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device which executes travel control related to traveling of a vehicle when a driver enters an unsuitable state for driving.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a control unit which executes travel control related to traveling of a vehicle when a driver enters an unsuitable state for driving; and a notification device which performs peripheral notification to notify the periphery of the vehicle of the execution of the travel control when the travel control is executed. The control unit is configured to be capable of executing at least two travel controls from among: in-lane stop control to stop the vehicle in the travel lane in which the vehicle is traveling; road shoulder stop control to stop the vehicle in a shoulder of a road including the travel lane; and automatic travel control to make the vehicle automatically travel to a prescribed destination. When the driver enters the unsuitable state, the control unit executes one of the travel controls from among the travel controls on the basis of the peripheral environment of the vehicle and makes the notification device perform peripheral notification in a different mode according to the executed travel control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
