To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine for preventing deterioration of drivability caused by decrease in the amount of electric storage of an electric storage device and decrease in the supercharging amount of a turbo charger.
An electric turbo 3 drives a motor by electricity supplied from a battery 5 to supply compressed air to an engine 2. A controller 4 controls supercharging amount of the electric turbo 3 and a shift ratio of a transmission 6 based on charging amount of the battery 5. In the case of little charging amount of the battery 5, the shift ratio of the transmission 6 is increased and the supercharging amount of the electric turbo 3 is lowered. Conversely, the shift ratio of the transmission 6 is reduced and the supercharging amount of the electric turbo 3 is increased in the case of much charging amount of the battery 5.
