Abstract:
There is provided a vehicle drive control apparatus for a wheeled vehicle including a first motor generator (MG1), and a second motor generator (MG2) as well as a transmission with planetary gearsets (PG1,PG2,PG3). Clutches (SC,MGC,HC) and brakes (HLB,LB) are provided to allow a shift between a high speed mode and a low speed mode with fixed gear ratios as well as a variable gear ratio. In case wheel slip is detected, the transmission is switched to the variable gear ratio. A further aspect relates to a control method. This inteds to avoid a shortened lifetime of electric circuits used for driving the motor generators in known ABS/TCS.
