Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of suppressing deterioration of fuel economy while informing a driver of start of a preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: An own vehicle acceleration control section 6 predicts a fuel consumption amount by engine torque for generating request acceleration, and determines whether or not the fuel consumption amount becomes equal to or higher than a prescribed value (S53 and S54). The own vehicle acceleration control section 6 sets the request acceleration as output acceleration when it is determined that the fuel consumption amount does not become the prescribed value or higher, and corrects the engine torque so that the fuel consumption amount does not exceed the prescribed value and resets the output acceleration in accordance with the corrected engine torque when it is determined that the fuel consumption amount becomes equal to or higher than the prescribed value (S55 and S56).
