Abstract:
The present invention relates to a controller for vehicles, wherein the controller obtains a transmission ratio corresponding value determined by the transmission ratio set in a transmission unit (S2); and a lock-up clutch is hanging-engaged, a driving point of an engine in the case of having a large transmission ratio corresponding value is hanging-engaged, and also, an engine is controlled by setting the driving point of the low rotational number which is the output rotational number with respect to a predetermined output torque compared to the driving point in the case of a small transmission ratio corresponding value in comparison with the large transmission ratio corresponding value (S3 to S8).
