Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which can suppress the breakage of a part caused by an overcurrent.SOLUTION: An HV-ECU 24 limits first MG power Pmg1 to an output power upper limit value Wout or smaller at the forward powering of a first MG 11, and limits second MG power Pmg2 to a value obtained by subtracting the first MG power Pmg1 from the output power upper limit value Wout or smaller. By this constitution, it does not occur that power generation power by the regeneration operation of the second MG 12 is expected, and the first MG power Pmg1 is set larger than the output power upper limit value Wout. That is, regardless of whether the second MG 12 is regeneratively operated, the first MG power Pmg1 is set to the output power upper limit value Wout or lower. Therefore, even if there occurs a phenomenon that the second MG 12 repeats a powering operation and the regeneration operation by the lock of wheels 16 at the forward powering of the first MG 11, it can be suppressed that battery power Pbat largely exceeds the upper limit value Wout.
