Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption during unmanned traveling of a hybrid-type vehicle comprising a stepped transmission.SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle according to the present invention controls a vehicle comprising an engine, a motor, and a stepped transmission which outputs power transmitted from the engine or/and the motor to a driving wheel side while changing a speed. The control device has a manned driving mode for executing driving of the engine and switching of the shift stage of the stepped transmission in response to driving operation performed by an occupant and has an unmanned automatic driving mode for automatically executing them while there is no occupant in the vehicle. When it is necessary to simultaneously execute the shifting operation of the stepped transmission and the starting/stopping operation of the engine, during traveling of the vehicle in the manned driving mode, the control device executes delay control for delaying the execution of one operation of the shifting operation and the starting/stopping operation. On the other hand, during traveling in the unmanned automatic driving mode, the control device limits the execution of the delay control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
