To provide a vehicle control device capable of quickly executing warm-up when the warm-up of a device is needed.SOLUTION: A U/DHV travel mode is a travel mode of increasing an engine rotating speed Ne to high rotation compared to an O/DHV travel mode in a region where vehicle velocity V is equal to or less of predetermined vehicle velocity V1, and accordingly when warm-up of an engine 12 is needed during travelling with the vehicle velocity V equal to or less of the predetermined vehicle velocity V1, it is possible to increase the engine rotating velocity Ne by switching the mode to the U/DHV mode with a higher priority to the travel mode determined based on a travel state, and to quickly execute the warm-up of the engine 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
