This vehicle control system 10 is provided with an its own vehicle location data acquiring part 28 for acquiring its own vehicle location data, a visual field boundary location data acquiring part 14 for acquiring visual field boundary location data at a temporary stop spot, a visual point location data storing part 18 for storing the visual point location data of its own vehicle, a visual field border line deciding part 16 for deciding a visual field border line based on the visual field boundary location data, a stop position deciding part 20 for deciding the stop location of its own vehicle as a location where the visual point location is overlapped with the visual field boundary line and a vehicle operation control part 22 for controlling the operation of its own vehicle to stop at the stop position.
