Abstract:
To alleviate user discomfort during stop holding.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system includes: a target drive force calculation part F1; an operation part F2 that calculates a required drive force and required brake force based on the target drive force; a stop holding part that holds a vehicle in a stop state at stopping timing; a force-capable drive force calculation part F3 that calculates a force-capable drive force that can be generated by a motor based on an amount of output power available from a battery; and a driving mode selection part F4 that selects an engine driving mode or EV driving mode based on the target drive force and the force-capable drive force. At a timing immediately before stopping, the operation part calculates the required drive force by setting the required brake force to a range equal to or above a stop holding brake force if the engine driving mode is selected, and calculates the required brake force by setting the required drive force to a range equal to or below the force-capable drive force if the EV driving mode is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
