Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine abnormality of a belt in a short time period.SOLUTION: A vehicle control unit includes an engine, an ISG connected to an output shaft of the engine through an endless member, a stop auxiliary section for generating torque in the ISG in a direction for stopping rotation of the engine during stopping of the engine, a change rate deriving section for deriving a change rate of a difference between engine rotation speed and ISG rotation speed, and an abnormality determination section for determining abnormality of the endless member when the change rate of the difference is equal to or higher than a prescribed change rate threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
