Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid the repeat of an operation for judging a passing condition oh a curve in the case of traveling the same road again.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of traveling a road for the first time, a passing condition judging means 11 judges a passing state on a curve based upon the radius of curvature of a curve on a forward road searched by a route searching means 10 and the speed of a vehicle and a vehicle speed control means 14 controls the vehicle speed so as to accurately pass the curve based upon the judged result. At the time, a radius-of-curvature minimum part detecting means 12 detects the radium-of-curvature minimum part of the curve and stores a minimum radius of curvature corresponding to the minimum part in a storage means 13. At the time of traveling the same road again, the means 11 judges the passing condition of the curve based upon the data of the curve stored in the means 13 and the speed of the vehicle.
