Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a vehicle to be continuously operated even if at least one of an inverter and an auxiliary power source device is unusable due to failure or the like.SOLUTION: A diesel hybrid vehicle system includes a diesel engine 1, a motor 5 for driving the vehicle, a generator 2 for generating AC power by output of the diesel engine 1, a power storage device 6 for charging/discharging DC power, a converter 3 for converting AC power generated by the generator 2 to DC power and outputting it, and an inverter 4 for converting DC power discharged by the power storage device 6 or DC power output by the converter 3 to AC power for driving the motor 5, and the converter 3, when the inverter 4 is faulty, operates as an inverter to drive the motor 5.
