Title:
VEHICLE COUPLING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09188247
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To facilitate coupling work by correcting a displacement in the direction perpendicularly intersected with a guide located between two vehicles to be mutually connected together.

A first vehicle 1 is controlled in direction in such a way that paired right and left detection bodies 5A and 5B can be detected by position affirmation sensors 4A and 4B provided for the first vehicle 1 at a specified interval in the right and left directions, after directional control has been over, both the reference detection position of a guide sensor 31 and the quantity of the displacement of a guide 3 are obtained so as to be turned into the quantity of a first displacement, and concurrently the quantity of a displacement between the first and second vehicles 1 and 2 are thereby obtained based on the quantity of the aforesaid first displacement so as to be turned into the quantity of a second displacement. After that, the detected position of the aforesaid guide 3 in the guide sensor 31 is changed into a position which is deviated by the quantity equivalent to the quantity of the aforesaid second displacement from the aforesaid reference detection position, and let a center line L1 in the running direction of the first vehicle 1 coincide with a center line L2 of the second vehicle 2 by letting the aforesaid first vehicle 1 travel along the aforesaid guide 3 while the position having been changed as mentioned above, is made a new reference position, so that these vehicles can thereby be connected together.
