Abstract:
To provide a highly practical vehicle cutting-in coping system.SOLUTION: In a vehicle cutting-in coping system for coping with the cutting-in of a vehicle in front of an own vehicle from an adjacent lane across a division line, a controller 80 includes: (a) a cutting-in coping braking force determination section 86 which, when a cutting-in situation is recognized by a monitoring device 14, determines cutting-in coping braking force FCI required for coping with the cutting-in of the vehicle in a magnitude according to a risk degree DE; and (b) a braking control section 30 which, when the operation of a brake pedal 20 is performed by a driver under the cutting-in situation, controls a brake device 12 to generate operation-dependent braking force FOP according to the operation, in addition to the cutting-in coping braking force. Such a situation that total braking force FTO applied to the own vehicle to cope with the cutting-in of the vehicle decreases when the driver operates the brake pedal is avoided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
