To provide an indicating method and device for a vehicle to indicate the surrounding situation of the vehicle to its driver, allowing him to grasp the surrounding situation of the vehicle intuitively.

The indicating method and device for the vehicle is equipped with a flowing indication control device 3 to give a flowing indication interlocking with the motion of the vehicle concerned within the driver's view field and a rear sideways vehicle sensing device 2 to sense the relative position of the vehicle concerned with the rear sideways vehicle, wherein the flowing indication control device 3 sets the non-indication region of the flowing indication in the driver's view field in accordance with the relative position of the rear sideways vehicle sensed by the rear sideways vehicle sensing device 2.
