Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle display device capable of providing a user with appropriate information, without being affected by changes in the position of the viewpoint of the user. A vehicle display device 10 is provided with: a viewpoint position acquisition unit 40 for acquiring a user viewpoint position 100 of a user seated in the driver seat of a vehicle 1; a forward information acquisition unit 60 for acquiring forward information of the vehicle 1; an image generation unit 30 for generating an image obtained by reflecting the forward information included within a prescribed area among the forward information acquired by the forward information acquisition unit 60; an image display unit 20 having a display surface 21 capable of displaying an image generated by the image generation unit 30; and a projection unit 50 for projecting the image toward a translucent member 2 of the vehicle 1 such that a virtual image 330 is visible to the user seated in the driver seat. The image generation unit 30 determines the position and the size of a first image element 250 to be displayed, among image elements included in the generated image, on the display surface 21, according to the user viewpoint position 100 in the vertical direction acquired by the viewpoint position acquisition unit 40.
