To provide a vehicle door driving system which prevents unusual sound due to vibrations occurring during traveling etc. of a vehicle, without addition of additional component parts, to thereby realize a comfortable in-vehicle space.

The vehicle door driving system for opening/closing doors of a vehicle, has a driving source 1, a clutch 2 for transmitting driving power from the driving source 1, and a switching means 3 for connecting and disconnecting the clutch 2. The vehicle door driving system is comprised of a control means 4 for controlling the component sections, and the control means 4 can identify a traveling recognition state in which the vehicle can be judged to be in a traveling state. Thus when the control means judges the vehicle to be in the traveling recognition state, the switching means 3 is controlled so as to connect the clutch 2.
