To provide a vehicle door structure which can prevent a slide opening/closing type door panel from coming off from a swing opening/closing type door panel, when the swing opening/closing type door panel is opened.
A vehicle door structure 10 has an idling mechanism 23 which invalidates operation of a handle 15 for controlling a lock mechanism 22 in a slide door panel 14 when a swing door panel 16 is opened. The idling mechanism 23 has an abutting portion 50 which abuts to a vehicle body 5 at the closing position of the swing door panel, and an interconnection controller 52 which controls the interconnection between the handle 15 and the lock mechanism 22. When the abutting portion 50 abuts to the vehicle body 5, the interconnection controller 52 maintains the interconnection between the handle 15 and the lock mechanism 22, but disconnects the interconnection between the handle 15 and the lock mechanism 22, when the abutting portion 50 separates from the vehicle body 5.
