Abstract:
To provide a vehicle drive device in which gear noise in a planetary gear mechanism constituting a speed reducer is reduced.SOLUTION: When the number of teeth of all gears (36, 37) meshing with a first gear part (34) and a second gear part (35) in a planetary gear mechanism (30) is divided by 2N, the remainder is N. The 2N planetary gears (33) comprise N first type planetary gears (33X) and N second type planetary gears (33Y). In the first type planetary gear (33X) and the second type planetary gear (33Y), phases of gear teeth (35a) of the second gear part (35) are different from those of gear teeth (34a) of the first gear part (34). The first type planetary gears (33X) and the second type planetary gears (33Y) are arranged alternately along a circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
