Abstract:
To reduce fluctuation in rotational torque of a rotating electric machine that may occur when the control state is switched.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a vehicle drive device (1), that comprises a clutch (30) having a first element (31) and second elements (32A, 32B) respectively having toothed parts (311, 321A, 321B) for meshing around a shaft (Is), a rotating electric machine (10) for driving a vehicle, that allows the first element to rotate around the shaft, and rotating electric machine control units (50; 152, 157) for controlling the rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine control units form, in this order, a first control state where it controls the rotating electric machine so as to rotate at a target speed and a second control state where it controls the rotating electric machine so as to output target torque upon shifting from a non-meshing state to a meshing state. Under the second control state, a value of a control parameter for the rotating electric machine is gradually changed from a first value used in the first control state to a second value depending on the target torque set after the shift.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
