To provide a vehicle drive support device capable of properly supporting drive by a driver by displaying a travelling condition of the vehicle in future.
This vehicle drive support device displays visual information to a driver so that the driver can properly operate an accelerator and maintain vehicle speed at a target speed. Practically, the vehicle drive support device predicts a travelling condition of the vehicle in future based on the present travelling condition of the vehicle and the torque generated by an engine, and displays it. With this structure, the driver can estimate a speed in future based on the displayed traveling condition of the vehicle in future before the present vehicle speed changes large. Overshoot in the vehicle speed can be thereby restricted to prevent rough drive. Fuel economy can be improved, and deterioration of exhaust emission and carsickness can be restricted.
