Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive system capable of reducing inertial weight by the interlocking rotation of a differential mechanism to wheels in a driven state according to a regeneration drive state of a motor-generator, and to provide a hybrid vehicle thereof.SOLUTION: The vehicle drive system includes a front motor 5 which changes a pair of front wheels 17 from the driven state to a drive state by output drive and which can perform charging by regeneration drive in the driven state of the front wheels 17, and a front differential 15 which has a differential case 41a rotating along with the front wheels 17 side and which transmits the output torque of the front motor 5 entered into the differential case 41a to the front wheels 17. On the front differential 15, an axle clutch 55a is provided which disengages the interlocking rotation of the differential case 41a to at least the front wheels 17 according to the regeneration drive state of the front motor 5 in the driven state of the front wheels 17.
