To provide a drive device capable of preventing co-rotation of an electric motor when driving and regeneration of the electric motor are not required and enhancing responsiveness at starting.
The drive device 1 includes the electric motors 2A, 2B for outputting drive force; and planetary gear type speed reducers 12A, 12B arranged between cylindrical shafts 16A, 16B, i.e., output shafts of the electric motors 2A, 2B and axles 10A, 10B connected to rear wheels LWr, RWr. The drive device 1 includes a one-direction power transmission means arranged on a transmission route from the electric motors 2A, 2B to the axles 10A, 10B and transmitting rotation power in one direction of the electric motors 2A, 2B to the axles 10A, 10B; and a dual direction power transmission means for transmitting rotation power in a dual direction of the electric motors 2A, 2B to the axles 10A, 10B.
