Abstract:
To provide a vehicle travel control device capable of achieving a shift operation with no sense of discomfort at the time of acceleration.SOLUTION: A vehicle travel control device 1 sets a target vehicle speed and a target acceleration, and controls an engine and an automatic transmission so as to achieve the target vehicle speed and the target acceleration. The vehicle travel control device 1 includes: a target vehicle speed calculation part 63 which calculates the target vehicle speed; a target acceleration calculation part 62 which calculates the target acceleration; a request drive torque calculation part 7 for engine which has a feedback controller 72 that calculates input so as to eliminate a vehicle speed deviation between the target vehicle speed and an actual vehicle speed, and calculates a request drive torque for engine using input calculated by the feedback controller 72 and feed forward input calculated based on the target acceleration; and a request drive torque calculation part 8 for transmission which has no feedback controller 72 and calculates a request drive torque for transmission based on the target acceleration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
