Abstract:
A hybrid vehicle including a front motor (3) for driving front wheels, a rear motor (5) for driving rear wheels, and a step-up converter (15) for stepping-up the voltage from a battery (8) and supplying power to the front motor (3), in which an engine (6) is started to shift the vehicle from an EV mode into a series mode when the output power of the step-up converter (15) is lower than the required power of the front motor (3), the hybrid vehicle includes a hybrid control unit (20) which computes maximum output power of the step-up converter (15) and, when the output power of the step-up converter (15) is more than the maximum output power, increases the distribution ratio of the travel driving torque of the rear wheel (4), thereby increasing the output torque of the rear motor (5).
