Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver experience emergency braking in a situation extremely similar to that at the time of encountering an emergency, and to enable measurement of exact reaction time.
SOLUTION: A vehicle driving skill test apparatus is provided with a transmitter mounted on a training vehicle 1 for transmitting a brake signal when the brake of the training vehicle 1 is operated, a loopcoil speedometer 12 embedded in a runway 3 for measuring the speed of a training car 1, a time determining means for determining whether or not the lapse time since the training vehicle 1 passes the loopcoil speedometer 12 reaches the predetermined stop command time, a signal 13 set ahead of the runway 3 for commanding the driver of the training vehicle 1 to stop by turning on a red lamp when the predetermined stop command time elapses, and a time measuring means for measuring the interval between the time of the time determining means determining lapse of the predetermined stop order time and the time of the transmitter transmitting a brake signal.
