Abstract:
To suppress sudden acceleration even if a driver erroneously steps on an accelerator pedal during a standby time in shifting an automatic driving mode to a manual driving mode due to a failure of a forward recognition sensor for acquiring travel environmental information in front of an own vehicle.SOLUTION: If a failure of a forward recognition sensor 21 is detected during traveling in an automatic driving mode (S16), a limited accelerator opening degree table is selected (S17). The limited accelerator opening degree table suppresses sudden acceleration even if a driver erroneously steps on an accelerator pedal because an output of a driving source is set in a limited characteristic to an increase in an access opening degree θacc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
