Abstract:
To provide a vehicle operation support device which can suppress execution of unnecessary emergency braking for an oncoming vehicle within an intersection.SOLUTION: A travel_ECU14 calculates a predicted own vehicle advancement route Cm and calculates a predicted oncoming vehicle advancement route Co on the basis of behavior of an oncoming vehicle O based on travel environmental information, determines existence or absence of such intension that an own vehicle M turns right within an intersection and enters a right turn road, corrects the predicted own vehicle advancement route Cm to a limit advancement route for causing the own vehicle M to enter the right turn road when there is intention that the own vehicle M enters the right turn road and cannot enter the right turn road on the current predicted own vehicle advancement route Cm, and further, determines existence or absence of such intention that the oncoming vehicle O turns right within the intersection and enters the right turn road, and corrects a predicting oncoming vehicle advancement route Co to a limit advancement route for causing the oncoming vehicle O to enter the right turn road when there is intention that the oncoming vehicle O enters the right turn road and cannot enter the right turn road on the current predicted oncoming vehicle advancement route Co.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
